This charming hotel is clean and has a beautiful courtyard. But the best thing about this cozy place is the very nice family who runs it. They are very accommodating in every way. It is a 10 minute walk to the .Centro. There is a schedule for hot water, but it does get very hot. Also, the rooms can feel cool at night, but there are plenty of warm blankets for a good night’s sleep on the comfortable beds. There is a good restaurant on site. We had a great experience here.
Wonderful experience. Was there two nights with a Natural Habitat group. Loved the food in the restaurant and the fireplace in our room. Staff were very nice, professional and easily accommodated our Monarch butterfly schedule and group size.
It is probably the thr best place in Angangueo. Very nice property. If it looks closed, knock on the door or use the doorbell, they are open. Rooms are OK, it was just really cold but they have rooms with heating for an extra cost. Bathroom is a bit small, water was luke warm and not really hot. They prepared dinner and breakfast for us which was really nice. For an extra cost you can bring your own wine bottle and they have wine glasses
It is a very pretty and pleasant hotel with beautiful grounds. Where it lacks is dining. The food was tasteless. We were really hungry after driving five hours to get here and I usually eat almost everything on my plate - I left 90% of the food on my plate. I only tasted each dish of the buffet. I went back to my room and ate a bag of potato chips instead ! The restaurant was that bad & it is only open from 7:30 to 9. The margaritas are so tiny - three sips and you’re done. There really isn’t any place else to walk to and eat. I guess you could take a taxi to a different restaurant. If you have a car you have to park your car behind a locked gate. So it’s not really convenient to come and go to another restaurant. It was a nice experience except for the food..

Very accommodating people and nice location. Comfortable beds and the garden is very beautiful. This hotel was not open when we arrived because of a planned water maintenance issue but we able to accommodate us anyways and we were able to get a great rest in before venturing onwards to see the butterflies. We really enjoyed our stay here. However, be prepared it can be really cold at night and the hotels here are not heated. Arrange for a space heater or extra blankets. The staff is wonderful, and the hotel is close enough to the town center to walk. According to most of the people we asked, the hotel is probably the best pick in Angangueo. The grounds are beautiful.
